A WARNING TO AMERICANS IN RUSSIA: The U.S. Embassy in Moscow issued a security alert yesterday urging Americans to leave the country following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s mobilization of 300,000 reservists to fight in Ukraine. “Russia may refuse to acknowledge dual nationals’ US citizenship, deny their access to US consular assistance, prevent their departure from Russia, and conscript dual nationals for military service,” the alert said. RUSSIAN ASYLUM: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre encouraged Russian men fleeing the country to avoid conscription to apply for asylum in the U.S. “What we’re seeing in Russia are the people of Russia who are saying they do not want this war, they do not support Putin’s war,” Jean-Pierre told reporters at a press briefing yesterday.
