QUOTE OF THE DAY: Kamala Serves Up Epic ‘Word Salad’ on World Stage

Q

Vice President Kamala Harris said “work together” five times in less than 30 seconds during remarks Monday at an Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit.

WHAT SHE SAID

“Our world is more interconnected and interdependent. That is especially true when it comes to the climate crisis, which is why we will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together on to galvanize global action,” Harris told the ASEAN leaders gathered at the State Department in Washington, D.C.

“With that, I thank you all,” Harris concluded. “This is a matter of urgent priority for all of us and I know we will work on this together.”

SAME ENERGY

Critics were reminded of Kamala’s previous “word salads,” like when she said “the passage of time” four times in less than 30 seconds during a March speech about expanding broadband internet access.

  • Such performances have fueled internal criticism of Harris’ preparation and management, and have led many Democrats to regret her anointment as the future of the party.

Nonetheless, Reuters hyped a Harris-led U.S. delegation to the United Arab Emirates Monday as Biden’s “all-star team.”
