DeSantis finally responded to a series of personal attacks by Trump when asked by a reporter Tuesday.
- The governor lumped Trump’s remarks together with “corporate media” bias against him, saying, “Really, what matters is are you leading, are you getting in front of issues, are you delivering results for people and are you standing up for folks.”
- “I would just tell people to go check out the scoreboard from last Tuesday night,” DeSantis added — a barbed reference to the midterm elections, in which he resoundingly won reelection while Trump-backed candidates lost key races.
