The uproar
On the left: After the trailer dropped Wednesday for “Sexy Beasts,” Jeet Heer of The Nation tweeted he was joining fellow leftist journalist Elizabeth Breunig of the Atlantic as a Catholic traditionalist.
Others comrades lamented, “The furries have won” — though some people who actually get off on dressing up as animals disagreed.
A number of LGBT activists also took issue with the “Sexy Beasts” getting green-lit in place of a queer love story.
On the right: Conservative commentators just wanted the circus to stop.
