Conservative social media users are expressing skepticism about President Joe Biden’s claim on Wednesday that there isn’t a “single thing a man can do” that a woman cannot do better.
The video: Biden made the remarks while advocating for gender equality during an event commemorating Equal Pay Day.
- “You know, I told my daughters, granddaughters from the time they were old enough to understand what I’m saying, and I mean it, there’s not a single thing that a man can do that a woman can’t do as well or better,” the president said. “Not a single thing.”
- Biden also touted his pro-woman record, saying he’d been one of the first senators to appoint a woman to the Naval Academy and, as president, had appointed two women as four-star generals.

The reaction: The president’s comments sparked a flurry of debate on Twitter from users who found Biden’s assertion dubious.

- Other commenters countered Biden’s claim by citing the U.S. military’s recent announcement that it was revising its fitness test out of concern for the stark difference in performance between male and female troops.
