‘Baywatch’ Babe Goes on Tucker and Begs Trump to Pardon Julian Assange

Former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson appeared on Tucker Carlson’s top-rated Fox News show on Monday to urge President Donald Trump to grant a full pardon to Julian Assange.

The moment: The actress, a longtime supporter of Assange, said Trump should show his commitment to “free speech” by pardoning Assange, who is currently being held at London’s Belmarsh prison.

Department of Justice prosecutors last year unsealed conspiracy charges against Assange related to WikiLeaks’ publication of classified military and government documents in 2010 and 2011.

  • A “defining moment” for Trump? “The entire world wants, or most want him to pardon Julian Assange,” Anderson told Carlson. “This is his time to shine and really make an impression on the world. If this goes to trial, that’s the end of the First Amendment.”
  • “Do the right thing”: “This is one of those moments in history, in his lifetime, where he can make the right decision,” Anderson added. “He would really gain a huge following and a huge sigh of relief and gratefulness from so many people on the planet.”
  • Anderson also said that pardoning Assange would make Trump a “free speech hero.”

Carlson also voiced his support for pardoning Assange, saying it would send a message to elites on both sides of the aisle who attempt to control information available to American taxpayers.

  • “Don’t degrade yourself,” Carlson said, directly addressing Trump. “Don’t degrade your voters. Make a statement. Defend the Bill of Rights.”
